Sustainability

Waste becomes infrastructure.

Green Venture buys post-consumer HDPE from collection networks in northern Tanzania and manufactures it into products with a long service life.

Circular economy

Nothing here is thrown away twice.

A bottle picked up on a park road in the morning is washed, shredded and extruded in Arusha, and ends up as the deck a guest walks on at sunset. That is the whole loop — local waste, local manufacturing, local buildings — with no imported timber and no landfill at the end of it.

When a structure eventually comes down, the profiles go back into the same extruder. The material keeps its value instead of losing it, which is what makes this circular rather than simply recycled.

The material cycle.

    01

    Collect

Post-consumer plastic is sourced through waste collection networks.

    02

    Sort

Material is separated and prepared for processing.

    03

    Process

Plastic is cleaned and converted into production-ready material.

    04

    Manufacture

The material is transformed into durable construction products in Arusha.

    05

    Use

Products replace materials that require frequent replacement or maintenance in demanding environments.

    06

    Recover

Recycled plastic material can be processed again at the end of its useful application where recovery systems allow.

Our impact to date.

Every order placed with Green Venture keeps plastic out of the landscape and timber in the ground.

2,000+
tonnes of plastic recycled into building materials
5,000+
trees saved by replacing timber with recycled plastic

Durability is the environmental argument.

A deck that does not need replacing consumes less material over its life than one that does. Our products are specified where replacement cycles and maintenance regimes are the real cost.

Where the feedstock comes from

Waste collected where it does the most harm.

Plastic gathered from parks, camps, towns and collection points across northern Tanzania is sorted, washed and extruded in Arusha — material that would otherwise sit in the landscape becomes decking, cladding and structural profiles.

Washed and reprocessed HDPE pellets — the feedstock for every profile we extrude.
