Tanzania's own recycled plastic building material.

Not imported, not composite, not a coating over sawdust. Solid recycled HDPE, extruded in Arusha from plastic waste collected here.

Building in Tanzania means designing around rain, sun and termites — and around the cost of replacing whatever loses that fight. We turn post-consumer plastic waste into a construction material that simply does not enter the argument: it does not rot, does not absorb water, does not feed insects and does not need painting.

From safari camps in the northern circuit to schools in Dar es Salaam and homes in Arusha and Moshi, the same boards are being used for decking, cladding, framing, walkways, furniture and prefabricated buildings.

Every tonne we extrude is a tonne of plastic that did not end up in a Tanzanian landfill or waterway — and trees that stayed standing.

FAQ

Tanzania questions, answered.

Still unsure? Send us your drawings or a photo of the site and we will come back with quantities and a price.

Is recycled plastic lumber made in Tanzania?

Yes. Green Venture Limited extrudes solid recycled HDPE lumber, decking and cladding at its own factory in the Njiro Industrial Area, Arusha, using post-consumer plastic collected in Tanzania.

How much does recycled plastic decking cost in Tanzania?

Decking and cladding are priced per square metre in Tanzanian shillings. Our online calculator gives an instant square-metre estimate, and a formal quotation follows within 24 hours.

How does it compare with hardwood in Tanzanian conditions?

Hardwood needs sealing, sanding and eventual replacement in rain, sun and termite conditions. Recycled HDPE needs washing. The upfront price is comparable to good hardwood; the lifetime cost is far lower.

Do you supply contractors and architects?

Yes. We work directly with contractors, architects and quantity surveyors, and provide specification details, fixing guidance and project quantities for tender documents.
